Excellorator coils?

I am considering purchasing one of these, either the 14" or the 18" I have the standard 950 and the 6x10" DD.? I am not impressed with the DD at all? . I have loaded custom "hot" programs for it and it chirps like crazy. I think I do better with the 950 than the DD sometimes. When I purcheased the DD it was advertised as? "better separation and depth" I think I might get better separation but I dthink the depth is less.

So how does the 14" or 18" excellerator do on coin sized or smaller items?
