I just wanted to take a moment to give praise to A 2 Z Detectors in Erie , Pa. I don't detect beaches very often ( just not the beach type ) . But , since I'm on vacation this week , my daughter asked if we could go to Erie for the day . Since I'm not one to miss a chance to try new detecting areas , I told her SURE .... LOL
I've never had a need for one of those sand scoops , so I jumped on the phone to [ A 2 Z Detectors ] in Erie and said we would swing by on our way . Not only did I get 2 scoops at a fare price , but Brian ( the dealer ) is an AVID detectorist . Besides his display of detectors for sale , he has many displays of his finds locally and CIVAL WAR from Virginia and the stories behind the finds . Very interesting to say the least !
Now for the praise . While there , I decided to purchase one of those Garrett Pinpointers everyone is talking about . I ordered it from him on monday about 12:00 pm at his dealership . It arrived today , wednesday at 5:00 while I was out detecting . I'm not sure , but this has to be some kind of Dealership Service Record of some kind ? ...
... So if you happen to be in the area of Presque Isle in Erie , Pa. some time , stop in and give Brian a visit . Even if you don't need one of his many detectors , he's quite a story teller of Local and American history and the relation to his finds. Oh , and ask about his Pocket watch find ....
