I'm buying a 5" excellerator for my MXT on Monday when Laura @ Kellyco gets back from vacation. I've been looking and comparing for a month. I have alot of trashy sites that I've been detecting at and I needed something small to get between the trash and still go deep. Check as many different forums as you can and check the archives for coils. Thats what I did. Good hunting.

yea i did serch these seem to be the best available lest wise if they live up to the clame
and called today was told they are sold out of the 5 inch

I just bought a 5" Excelerator from Kellyco. I really can't give much feedback as I just received the coil and have not had a chance to take it out yet but I will say that I researched on a variety of forums and spoke back and forth with folks at Kellyco and DFXonly.com and everything I have heard about the coil is good. Also, I know that the coil is often out of stock at Kellyco. I ordered both a 5" and 14" after hearing that they go fast. The 5" I received a bit over a week ago (and now from what you said are out again), and the 14" is backordered and I have been told will be in at the end of the month. Some of this may be due to the nice price breaks Kellyco gives if you buy them at the time you purchases a detector, but I think the fact that they are out of stock frequently may also speak to their usefulness.
