Bought this vaseline flask on eBay today Gorgeous Vintage Canary or Vaseline Glass Daisy Bottle Pairpoint | eBay. Found it looking for a match to the one I bought at a local auction, searching completed listings I found 2 sold listings for the same flask 1 for $86+ Shipping & the other 1 for $80+ Shipping vaseline flask | eBay. Then I searched active listings & used a few different search terms & found the one I bought for $19.99 shipped. I will re list it correctly (as a flask not a bottle) & should make almost $60 profit on my $20 eBay purchase. Once again picking on eBay does work!

For sure, I use completed listings all the time, especially when I come across something that I think looks like a deal but I don't have enough experience to pull the trigger without a little research. Your story rings a bell because I think I have bought a thing or two while trying to track down something else. This also reminds me of another situation, one I'd have a good laugh at and have done it a few times.... sell an item for a great price and buy the same thing much cheaper within 24 hours of the sale.
