Day 2 was a bust After breaking open the foot locker and finding Crack still in the bags syringe's and other drug stuff! We decided that every thing is going to the dumpsters no more being nice and saving anything!!!

At one point i had a open sirenge hanging from my glove!!!! The only thing i found was a silver pendant !!! will post a pic later!! Now you Know why apartment Maint Tech have the 5Th most dangerous job in the world!!!! Toilets number one reason drug users in my book are # 2!!!

HH chug Thank god that syringe did not penetrate any farther!!!

Hi Chug,
Here is yet another protective glove input. Check out hexarmor.com once there go to Needle Stick products, Needle Stick Resistant.
These will be a level 6 product line. They have gloves, arm guards and gloves with an arm guard. I expect these will be costly and somewhat clumsy but as long as you are doing this type of work its a good bet you need the tools of the trade. In addition to being clumsy I would think the gloves would reduce hand movement and dexterity so in addition to the protective products would using a large pair of some type of tongs be possible to sort through the bulk items?? You could think of these items as insurance policies that actually protect your life.

Yuck, reminds me of a house I was looking to purchase, needles and vials all over. The Realtor dismissed my concern like we were discussing grease ants in a kitchen. Spent five minutes in that place, 4 1/2 minutes too long.

Go for cleaning and clearing out estates and not rentals. Maybe work with your local banks and clean and clear out their foreclosures and use a garden "claw" to pick though things until you know your in safe territory.
