Ever found gold coin?

Good luck, it's a dream for most. Do your homework and then be willing to go to those higher probable places, but there is still no guarantee.

29 years of detecting and still no gold coin. It's # 1 on my detecting achievement list, but they are very elusive. Detected in SD, UT, IL, VA, GA, NY, and PA.

Maybe in my 30th year!

Wish me luck!

Still looking. I know someone who found 100 after about 29 years. He said the 1st one was hard but the other 99 were easy. ;)

29 years!! wow!! show me 29 years of good finds ;D..oh by the way good luck on your first goldie..

I've found 10 gold coins: two $20's, one $10, five $5's, one $2.50, and one $1.00. Found at places like old-town demolition sites, beach storms, stage stop, etc...

Stoney56, were those "100 gold coins" found as a cache?

Yes they were, his story was in the March 1998 W&E.

Found 2 in one day - 1/2 Eagle & 1/4 Eagle. As far as I'm concerned, I'm probably done finding gold. Just right place, right time.

I don't know if the rarity of finding them is more because they are not there or that they are just hard to hear on your machine.
