Eureka! I struck gold

Well, pending a trip to the jewelry store for testing. Ring is unmarked, but has the look and heavy feel of gold. Not plated, not magnetic. Came out of the ground looking like this; I haven't cleaned it. Anyhow, keep your fingers crossed for me. UPDATE 5/31: It tested as 14K gold! Worth around $350, woo-hoo!



Ever heard the one about the 2 Italians during the Gold Rush? They were in the hills with their pick axes, swinging away at the rocks.
Suddenly, one of them shouts, "Eureka!"
The other yells back, "You donna smella so good youself!"

Looks solid to me. One must have if your going to pick up gold or potential gold is a test kit. They are relatively inexpensive and saves you having to take your finds to a jeweler.
