Hi Everyone,
I am new to the message board and found it quite by accident when I was researching whether an edition of George Orwell's 1984 that I bought at a used booksale is worth anything.
However, it just so happens I am also newly intrigued by treasure hunting, living in the great state of Arizona and practically within sight of the Superstitions. I have already read quite a few books on the lost dutchman mine, and spent some time looking at maps. I figure I may only be an armchair dutch hunter, but I'm still young and so God willing I may get out and actually do some hiking around those parts during the cooler parts of the year. Believe me, it's quite deadly out there in the summer months and is to be avoided.
I am also interested in learning more about gold panning and prospecting, as AZ is rich in mining history and I am also very intrigued by the old west and the old ways in general.
Pleasure meeting you and I look forward to reading more on this website.
PS if you think you can help me identify what kind of a copy I have of George Orwell's 1984 please chime in over here: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/311164-george-orwell-1984-1st-edition.html#post2923354
Yours faithfully,
Jacob Waltz ;-)
