Have a feeling the control housing on my etrac may have a problem with it. I can never get a stable threshold and seem to always get signals whenever I swing the coil. Even ttf with a mostly open screen always seems to null. I thought it was the coil going bad, but holding it up in the air makes it stable and tapping the coil or moving the cable that goes into the coil doesn't mess it up. It's seems like once the coil goes over the ground it just can't compute the information correctly. Also, because of this, the depth isn't that great anymore

Put some fresh alk batteries in it, remove the Sunray probe if you have one, try a few restarts, but still go with the assumption it's the coil and get another to try before you send it in.

Yea, I just got a 6x8 sef coil I'm going to try and see what's happens. Is the coil connection that comes out of the control housing supposed to move around and wiggle?

Put in back into "auto" sensitivity -

Yep - If the sensitivity is too high, you will get constant radical signaling, Run full "Auto" and that should fix the problem. If not, then you might have to call Minelab.

Yea, I can try that too as an option

Yes, a little bit.

Thanks
