So I have had my Etrac a couple weeks. Found one silver dime and tons of clad.. But today I found my first gold. I have had it beat into my head that the etrac stinks at finding gold. Last night I started reading about who has found gold with their etracs, Started paying attention in video's as to what the numbers come up like.. Also someone posted a little chart with what everything rings up as. I am ashamed to admit that before last night I had payed no attention to what it would ring up.

So after doing my Gold studies last night, today I went out to a local ball field to see what I could find. I was picking up all the normal Clad and pulltabs. But now I am paying attention to the below nickle signals on the CO.. I got a pretty strong 11-07/ 12-07 signal and it said about 5 or 6 inches down. Figured I was going to dig a big wad of foil like I have before at these numbers. Well low and behold this little beauty popped out. 10k with one diamond. Small woman/ girls ring. I was surprised how well it came in, Strong signal unlike what so many people have been saying on the forums.

Now I wonder how many possible gold items I have passed up not having done my research.. And I am here to say the etrac has no issue finding gold..

If you want to find the gold dig everything.

If you want to find the gold dig everything.

yes indeed, Something I definitely subscribe to, Guess I got kinda caught up with just learning the basics of the ETRAC, I am really loving the etrac. Couple things i like is how quite it is compared to some of my other machines, And you do seem to truly get more info on the target before you dig via sound and Numbers. So far I am loving this machine.

That's a great ring. Now that you've figured it out you'll probably be digging them left and right!
