My dad called to let me know that he took his detector into the yard last night and found my younger brother's E.T. lunch box that a friend and I buried in the backyard because he such a little twerp :)

ET came out in '82, so I guess it's been buried all these years. I do remember my friend and I "hijacking" the lunchbox, but I have no recollection of having buried it. ::) I also remember my brother accusing me of having done "something" with his new lunchbox, but he never had any proof. I can't wait to hear his reaction when he finds out. What a classic. ;D

The thermos was still in it, btw :D

It's pay back time now. I am surprised that your dad didn't call you over to take you out back to the wood shed. You're still due after all these years for not telling the truth in the first place. Shame on you. LMAO!!!
The thermos was still in it!! I wonder what an original E.T. lunchbox is worth on e.Bay today?? You may have done your brother a favor. Thinking again, good move in burying that lunch box.

Looks like they're only about $8.00 on Ebay :-\ I'm going to get my parents to send it to my brother for his birthday. ;D

nah you "broke it" now you gotta fix it -- pony up the $8 bucks --it'll be worth it for the "grins and giggles" of it --and maybe dad will not whup ya for burying the "first" one--

LOL

Cool Memories :D

That's a great story! I love the birthday idea :D :D

How long are Twinkies good for?. . . just a weird thought. . .

I don't think that there's an expiration date on Twinkies-they've found them alongside the mummies in the Valley of the Kings and they were still edible. :D

AM,

And here I was thinking you were a nice Girl. :'(

I AM a nice girl..my little brother was a big Pain in the Butt!! He used to turn his eyelids insideout and terrorize my friends whenever they came over. That still freaks me out to this day!! :o :o He also cut the hair off of my baby Chrissy Doll. It took me a LOOOOONG time to get over that one. :o My dad says that the lunchbox registered as 50 cents on the ACE and was buried about 8 inches deep..I seriously don't remember burying it. ::)
