I almost missed in the estate sale in my neighborhood. My neighbor mentioned it to me so I ran over there and was fourth in line at noon. I went straight to the jewelry counter and scooped up 11 spoons. Nine are Sterling and two are coin silver. I need to research the back marks. I paid 50 for 4.3 ozt Sterling/coin silver. I missed on 17 pieces of Samuel brown of New York (1789-1849)Coin silver spoons. They sold on Saturday from what she said.

I am pretty certain that the second smaller piece is J&AS. This belonged to:

J. & A. Simmons
New York, New York
Active c.1805-1813, James Simmons, silversmith & Abraham Simmons (b.1781-d.1815), engraver. Partnership dissolved c.1813
