Hello gang! There was all of one or two new garage sales here in town. Absolutely nothing unless you are looking for baby clothes or cheap and worthless home decor. Today I decided to
hit one of the over-priced estate sale company sales on their half off day to see if they had anything left worth a dollar or two.

This sale advertised all sorts of guns, military items and fine signed crystal, I was hoping they missed something through the weekend, the company and buyers missed little. I did pick a few items worth my time and gas...Hopefully! The Tiki is signed and dated 1976, Thanks to Diggumup I look for special Tiki items. The balloon is made by Dyer and is porcelain or pottery.
The Sanyo radio is in great condition and a couple bangles pre-test for being bakelite.
Price for everything was $30. No major returns but should have a fair profit for wandering around and looking at junk for an hour.

There is not one item here that wasn't picked without the help of this forum and I thank you all that contribute!

Honest and brutal opinion: I would have passed on all those items.

I could say that every day on here... but it doesn't mean they are good or bad :) (I just don't know)

They are not bad picks at all.

I have personally tried to discipline myself over the years to not buy something just for the sake of buying something. That is how I ended up with a van full of crap that I basically ended up giving away, throwing away, or selling at a loss when I moved in May.

Some people try to see value in everything and try to buy something any opportunity they get. I forced myself to be pickier and only buy stuff that is TRULY worth buying.

I am not saying that my method is "right" or anyone else's method is "wrong".

That's one aspect where I luck out because no matter how much I buy it doesn't take up much space. There is definitely things I can't get to, but eventually will.

I dont know much about these items....I hope you can make a return on them

I use to have that exact boom box.

Those are fine picks if you feel good about them. $30 was high for those items but even if you make a $1 off them then you made a profit. Don't start second guessing yourself or you'll start passing up items you could have scored big on. Because believe it or not items that look like crap are the ones that sell for big money and if not you have experience. With each buy and sell you get better and start turning bigger profits. Just mark this one up to a learning experience. Good luck out there.
