Think about it. It guarantees we'll be asking for them at banks, getting them in circulation, and it didn't cost the Gov. anything to "accidently" let a bunch out with the error. Probably more are suddenly in circulation after that news release than all the S.B.Anthonys. Brilliant marketing.

Assuming the mint actually has any clever folks employed.
