Another potential error coin; a bright eagle on the reverse of a 1995 Washington quarter found in change. The eagle itself is much more of a silver color than its surroundings. If someone did this outside of the mint, then they did a great job! How could this happen at a mint? 1995 Quarter Error Eagle.JPG
 

by the tint, I'm going to "guess" the quarter was tinted & the eagle cleaned after leaving the mint.

at least I never saw this process before :dontknow:

Easy way to tell if its a proof coin or not. P or D mintmark = not a proof coin. S mintmark = proof coin.

I just learned something about proof coins thanks. Don't drink and drive you might spunk your drink

Regardless what caused it, it is not an error. Either a freak way it toned or someone cleaned the eagle.
