Hi all!

I just wanted to give an update that it appears that lower rod production will FINALLY begin this coming Tuesday, Oct. 16, as tracking information shows the remainder of the parts I've been waiting on en-route, and scheduled to arrive by Monday afternoon. The carbon-fiber tubes arrived this past Wednesday, allowing me to finish assembly of the prototype rod -- which is now attached to my 6" coil (please see pics below)!

I have had several folks mention that they are interested in the lower rods once they are ready, and I made a preliminary list based on that. However, if anyone who may be interested in one or more lower rods could respond to this post, to confirm their "pre-order," (payment NOT REQUIRED until the rods are ready for shipping) it will help me with "bookkeeping," to make sure I get all of these "pre-orders" filled later next week when the rods are complete. I will be offering the rods at an initial, discounted price to forum members, of $58 plus shipping.

Meanwhile, design of the "complete/full shaft system" continues and is nearing completion, and I hope to be able to assemble a prototype soon; I will announce when that prototype is ready, along with a timeline for production. Of course, this "complete shaft system" will utilize these same lower rods, along with a one-piece upper shaft.

Thanks for your interest and support!

Steve

Just repeating...two for me, Steve.

Ogre -- yep, thanks. You are on the list, sir!

I'll be in touch soon.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Steve

I'll take one too! :icon_thumleft:

cudamark,

Duly noted, sir! Thanks for your interest!

Steve

Update -- the final, long-awaited parts shipment arrived today! Production will begin this evening!

Steve

Put me down for one also look great, don't under stand why Minelab can't do this. TX :icon_thumright:

sldigger -- you are marked down! Thanks so much for your interest, and the kind words!

Steve

Any chance you will have a lower rod available (not spoken for) in the current batch you are assembling?

Mark --

My apologies, but they are sold out for the moment. I think I underestimated demand rather significantly! However, parts are on order for a much larger batch of rods next; I expect arrival of the parts within 2 1/2 weeks, and then I'll have a bunch more rods available, if you are interested...

Please let me know, and thanks for asking!

Steve

Hey all! I have a "for sale" ad up, in the classifieds, but as I mentioned here, all rods are currently sold out. Parts are currently ordered and in production, which will allow me to build a much larger batch of rods this time, as soon as they arrive. So -- if you want to be added to the list for a rod out of the next batch (I'm hoping to have them ready for sale in about 2 weeks) please let me know -- either via PM, or in the "for sale" thread over in the classifieds.

THANKS!

Steve

I just received my two in the mail yesterday, they came via express mail.
I must say I was impressed with the build quality fit and finish, all excellent.
I can't wait for a complete rod assembly to be available.

Add one of these to a 6-inch coil and the Nox becoming a truly lightweight Wonder stick...... Thanks Steve keep up the good work

gadabout --

THANKS for the kind words! I'm really glad you are pleased!

I'm working as quickly as I can on the "complete shaft;" the prototype "3-D print" of the cam lock/clamp is happening as we speak, to allow "physical" inspection of the design -- i.e. taking it from the engineering/drawing/design phase to an actual, physical piece -- a "proof-of-concept" step in the process. After examination and confirmation of this 3-D printed cam lock, it will be time to move on to actual production-quality cam locks...the last step needed to allow me to move to the "production stage" of the complete shafts.

THANKS for your business!

Steve

Thanks, Bart! Appreciate the kind words!

If you own an Equinox, all I can say is...GET YOUR NAME ON STEVE'S LIST! The two I ordered arrived today and they are GREAT! Beautifully done, perfect fit...and a great guy to deal with. 😁
Thanks, Steve!!

Ogre -- WOW! THANK YOU for the very kind words/endorsement! I'm really glad you are pleased!

THANKS for your kindness, and your business!

Steve - what is the physical length of your rods. Thx.

Basstrackerman -- less than two weeks; I can get you a firmer answer within 24 hours. I know half the parts are already in transit, I expect less than a week for those to arrive. I will place an inquiry with my carbon-fiber tube supplier to check on those, and then I'll have a firmer answer. Sound ok?

THANKS for your interest!

Steve
