I've had the Nox 900 for some months after owning and using the Nox 800 for three years or so. I like both machines and feel the 900 is a worthy performer and a good step up from the 800. But the last two charging cycles the 900 developed the steady blinking power charging light that would not go solid indicating a full charge. All bars appeared full and the machine would last a good six hours in the field with sens boosted to 26 - 28.
I have the 2A multicharger from the Minelab website. I always employ the same charging routine: as soon as I return from the field I plug it in and unplug as soon as the light goes steady. I never let it stay on the charger more than necessary.
I checked for black sand on the housing magnets and sure enough found some which I removed with blue painter's tape. But not a lot of it. I was set go to go on a tirade here but tonight it properly charged after 6 hours in the field. Something to keep an eye on. Hoping i don't have to send it in right when prime detecting season returns after Labor Day. I do always travel with a backup power bank.
