Looks like the 800 is going to pay off for you...:hello2:

SWEET Silver!:icon_thumleft:

Sheesh,
Don't tell the CTXers about this.lol

were the aluminum caps signals iffy or solid?

Imo these are the only nuisance target for Equinox. Now here it what a person can do -assuming no fill dirt.
They come in low20s on the meter, but they usually are lot stronger reporting than coin, being usually usually shallower.
Good thing these things not as old as pull tabs. Then we might have w problem.

If I had a CTXer hunting with me and we could video, folks would,be shocked at how much more ground, how much faster on average I can sweep. And not need bottle of Doan's pill at day's end. Lol

Equinox is a real slicer and dicer with good ID to boot.

I heard others today and disn't dig - too blaring a tone with 21-22 in meter.

Congratulations on the Sweet Silver

I would love to see a side by side of CTX and Equinox on the same target area. I am very skeptical over claims that the Equinox will outperform the CTX. Maybe recovery speed will be faster but I think that’s where the difference ends. If I want a whip to snap I have my Deus which I am pretty certain will kick the Equinox on recovery speed.

Cheers

I only have 3 Deus units all coils but the monster LF coil.
Had a CTX too, 2 of them.

Just stay with your CTX, will mean more equinoxes for someone else.
Watch your rear view mirror though, Equinoxer may be passing you. Lol

TNSS - Looks like EQ took you on a nice trip to the "Barber". Nice.

I kinda like these back and forth posts. Might catch a good deal on a machine one day. Ya never know.

Very hard for me to believe that Minelab crated a $750 Machine to replace their

I want to see a head to head hunt between a CTX and an Equinox

In thick iron, it would be no contest (EQ wins). Aka depth isn’t everything. The Equinox is faster but in “mild” ground conditions conducive to the CTX’s deep seeking high conductive target abilities, CTX will likely be deeper. How much is that worth is up to the individual detectorist to decide.

I don’t think ML will care as long as it sells 3 or more Equinoxes for every 1 less CTX sold as a result of the Equinox’s role as the new kid in town. Either one is now a cash cow.

Not coins can be got with Etrac stock coil.
Not all coins can be got with CTX with stock coil.

Equinox is cheaper and lighter. User can cover more ground and be more efficient.

If we put smaller coils on all, the same thing could be said as above.

I'll watch and sit back and see when the CTXers start hunting things like old home sites with Nox runners. Then we'll know.

One sweep of a coil on a 7" deep silver and copper coin, Equinox has best odds of detecting on the first pass. I know this much.

How about high trash park? Can slaw, tabs, caps, aluminum foil and foil clumps is it over sensitive? How does the single VDI compare with the two number VDI?

Cheers and thanx

Thank you for this video. I was so looking forward to seeing the Equinox results on the rusted nail over the silver dime the long way which would have been a big differentiator vs the CTX and Deus if it could have detected the dime going over the nail the long way.

The 17” coil on the CTX did not make it fair on the deep silverquarter test but that was expected.

All I can say is that the Equinox is impressive and as vferrari stated if they sell 3X more Equinox machines then they do CTX machines their bottom line will go up. Maybe there will now be a Minelab YouTube equivalent of nugget noggin and aquachigger channel. I truly believe that they want the Garrett AT Pro and AT Max market at the least.

It would behoove Minelab to release a CTX OS update the machines with some of this new technology they are pimping on they cheaper machines.

I would love for this post to reach the ears of Minelab PR and R&D departments.

Cheers
