*more pics in 4th post, couldn't post fast enough!*

EPIC Day of detecting a new site yesterday, 1895 Victorian on the main st of an old town. Got started by 8:30AM and detected straight through to 4PM!! (with many Gatorade stops!) Finished cleaning and taking pics at 1:30AM this morning. Long day, but VERY rewarding! I don't think I've found 9 silvers in a outing before, let alone all silver relics, no coins! Can't wait to get back there!

A few observations/questions: What's everyone's take on the pewter medallion with the number "40" stamped on it. Taking a look at the macro pics, I noticed that the back looks like it has 2 holes that seem to be the remains of a button shank. I'm thinking this started off as a 1700's pewter button. At some point it was re-purposed into some sort of necklace/pendant, with the 40 stamped on it, and the hole being put in.

Also, after reviewing the macro picture of the makers mark for the child's bracelet it says: hecho en cuernavaca mexico SPS 925, I couldn't find information that dates it, but I think it dates to the 40's.

I haven't done research on the makers mark for the sterling fork. (my first solid silver utensil!) Anyone able to figure it out. Eyeballing it, I thought I had a handle on what the makers mark depicted, but looking at the macro picture I don't have a clue what they are, other than the cross in the background.

Thanks all and enjoy the pics, I'll try and post them in the "right" order, but I always seem to get it wrong!

Jai

Love the pics, specially the spoons. I found a silver spoon last weekend. How it got way out in the yard of an old nineteenth century home is anybodies guess.

That's a very interesting way to find that much silver! Very cool finds. You had a great hunt for sure!

Wow, that's a virgin honey hole! Better grid that spot 4 ways as there's more :)
Congrats!
