This is a strange assortment of finds from the first weekend of October 2005. Myself and friend/customer Mark hunted the river near Bushkill Park and an old house around the corner. The huge thing is a part of a walking stick or cane. The pewter head piece and wood probably fit down into the main portion of the staff.
The roosie '59 and 03 Indian were found at the old homestead. I've been having a pretty good run on Indians this year and some in very good shape. aloha....HH.

Very nice finds, old coins are nice to find I would guess (havnt found any non normal coins besides wheats) and that silver cane handle is very nice (the guys face looks demented), HH....Bill

That cane head looks to be a really nice representation of Folk Art, a VERY hot commodity. Watch Antiques Roadshow to see some other examples and the values they estimate for them. Congrats!

The cane thing looks like an early dummie's head to me. Reach up inside and move it about with the short handle? JIM aka KS

Nice coins, That cane thang could be used as a scary Halloween decoration !

nice 03 ih...............

looks almost like something you might see in a carnival game. very unusual and cool find!........the coins are cool as well. nicely done!

? ? ? ?Nice finds! I like that cane head.Is that park open still or did the flood last year do it in?Good luck and H.H.-diggummup

Digum- the flood did a number on the park. However there is a group of folks trying to bring it back, including the guy who played on Matlock.....Dan something or other. We were outside the park down near the creek that flows along side it. The flood is a blessing and a curse for mders...some stuff comes up and some stuff is driven either further under. The cane head did hit like a frying pan but it was fairly deep...at about 10 inche.
The Indian head was at a house around the corner where a buddy has pulled 2 Indians, 3Buffalos, 1 Seated Liberty Dime,25 Wheaties, 3 Barbers, 2 mercs, and a gold ring.

Neat finds!! I've seen that silver smiley thingy before...or something very similar to it... it was on a beer tap handle at a small hole in the wall bar up in the Adirondack Mountains... Great find...!

That smiley face thing is pretty eerie! :D But a very unique find Johny Mc....

Congrats on your finds!

Nana ;)
