I had a great day digging Civil War bullets at a North Carolina site this weekend. There was a mix of Confederate and Union bullets that were both dropped and fired. I dug several Spencer carbine rounds that had been dropped, however none were still complete.
I love the Enfields since three of them are out of the ordinary...one is a hard impact with the wood plug still inside of the cavity, one has been pulled, and the third has a raised marking inside of the cavity.
What a fun hobby.--JB
