I have been making some unexpected finds lately. Here is the crown jewel of this months bizarre finds: endoscopic kit with cold halogen light source.

Not really sure what to do with these, since I am unsure if they fall into a regulated category, and I do not know the brand or exact application of the devices in the steel box. Tested the endoscope in conjunction with the light source. They work.

Not sure what the other two devices are, but they seem to have a more invasive medical purpose and I do not want to mess around with them.

Can anyone with medical experience (or experience selling the equipment) tell me how to proceed? eBay value of the whole kit is around $500 by my estimation. Not bad for a $12 buy.

Strikes me as odd that these ended up in the TS. Maybe they have some non medical application? I can see the endoscope being used to peek into safes...

It's definitely medical in nature. You should able to use it as a borescope, though they make much smaller, wireless, digital units nowadays. As for an endoscopy, the wife just had and upper and lower GI (among other things) done. I'm sure she wants no part of this thing, lol. The other parts, they are probably probes for different applications of the procedure. An endoscopy is basically just a way for the doc to see inside of you and can be used through any orifice to see a wide number of things. I believe Crispin is a surgeon or an MD of some sort. PM him about it, he can probably tell you a little more about it. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=38292

Thanks. Looked over those regulations... seems like a liability warzone. I will try contacting some medical resellers in my area and see if they will buy it off me. I am not conversant in medical equipment or any of the regulations governing it, so while I will be losing money to the middleman, would rather let the pros handle it and walk away with my hands clean. If there are additional issues with this, I think I'll just sit on the steel tools and try to move the light source, which would not have come into contact with the patient.
