Do you know what of gun that is? Year or make? Roughly?
Sorry no details where given with this image. Found other brass barrel percussion cap hand guns from 1880’s and earlier.

I am not an expert on this era of pistols; however, that style is called a cannon barrel. In my admittedly limited experience, small cannon barrel pistols are often percussion with a box lock mechanism. Some of these pistols are known as Queen Anne style, although I do not know the precise definition of that term.

Thank you. I did a little digging and found the same information. I believe this to be a belgian brass cannon barrel percussion pistol.

Looks like the barrel blew apart when fired. Probably didn't end well for the shooter...

Found at an early 1800s site among other relics including small lead balls.

Someone suggested that it may be the end of a boot pistol. I searched for an early 1800s boot pistol and found these images.

I'd say it's a match. What do yall think?
Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!

Sure is part of a pistol . Nice find :)
