Encrusted coin-like object

I found this metal disk in the garden. It's about the size of a nickel. It bounces around on the ace 350 and it's magnetic, so it's probably not a coin -- maybe a slug from an electrical box or something. I'm going to put it through some electrolysis. Any guesses on what it might be?
