emblems? Harness? Military?

I've found these over the last 20 years... what are they, where were they used, what's their significance, military?

Hmmm. Welcome, Mike. What part of the planet Earth did you find them?

These were found in Mass/Conn and are made of mostly cast brass or bronze. My guess is they are 200 years old. I found one last night and there were coins from 180X around it. most have two attachment points on the back, but some just have one point of attachment. Some are obviously for harnesses or leather as there are two tangs bent over and the leather is still there.

Most likely not military. If they were, they'd have insignia on them.
