✅ SOLVED Elephants and Woozles.

I found this Solid brass elephant about 6" down in an area that was never touched since 1910.

It says China on the side. This may help date it's import. which may put it later than 1910. I can't imagine anything ever being in the area I searched. it requires a machete. I always wanted to post it up here to see if anyone had any info on elephants.

The back stamp " China" should narrow it down
In 1893 products need to be stamped with their origin due to the McKinley Tariff law
IN 1914 it was then changed to "made in China" ( adding the words - made in )
I may be off a tad on the dates
