I cleaned up some of my stuff, and I was quite surprised. I cleaned up 2 arty shell casings that were pretty rusty, and a blown up detonator head. The stuff cleaned up nice enough to where I can now see numbers, and little details on the stuff. Now I just need some more little machines set up, and all my stuff will be cleaned in a few months lol!

Happy hunting everyone!

Look's good Viper....Made mine from a phone charger....7 volt's-2 amp's...Does a pretty good job on most of the stuff...Got a cannister round in the bucket right now!!....Good luck and be safe!!!

Let me get this right...Put a detonator in water hook it to a power source and zap it with electricity! Why are there sirens going off in my head?

[went back and reread the post]

OH! "blown up" detonator"...ah...just checking... LOL ;D

LOL I have enough sense NOT to put electricity to EXPLOSIVES.. thats what makes them de things go boom and such. :D Besides, we tried to ignite a bit of powder that came out of a grenade, but it didn't do anything. The powder out of bullets will smoke a bit but not spark really. I'm not gonna take any chances though hehe

What kind of voltage and amperage did you use on those big boys?? Or did you use smaller volts/amps over a longer period?

I am not sure actually ehhe. The voltage here is 220V but I am using a car battery charger.. I THINK its 5amps??? I will have to check. The metal is kinda crappy (its late war shell casings) and thin. I think it took a couple days to have the casings clean up nice.

well, i know its a bit high.. but it gets the job done. I figure its the safest way. I don't wanna fry myself bec of some old rusty stuff :) If I could get it lower then it would be better of course. Even at 5amp.. it takes 4-5 days fora thick cannonball piece...
