I picked these up to sell for scrap aluminum and have no idea what they are. They are labeled 117v, 160w. Maybe they are worth more as is, instead of scraping.
Charlie is correct. Condensate evaporator drain pans. They are used in refrigeration. They catch the condensation dripping and the heat evaporates the water. Its better than constantly having to empty the water from a drain pain.Charlie P. (NY) said:Looks like it is a condensate evaporator.

Used where A/C or refrigeration is dripping, to prevent mold.
I guess thats the best way to check or if you have an amprobe. You could also check for continuity. I think its just a simple heat strip. They may get warm to the touch.lumbercamp said:Thanks, these came from an apt. building, but the guy owned a grocery store with coolers. So I guess to check them, all I have to do is plug them in, drop water in and see if it evaporates.
