El Paso White Elephant saloon token

Went out today to this new site and uncovered a saloon token with the words white elephant saloon on one side and a 10 on the other. It looks old... I took a pic and thing was pretty packed in the hard soil, so I'm hoping its old. How cool would that be if it was from an actual Wild West Saloon!

Didn't have much luck the day before and thats cause car91rs found it all, lol. I found a few other items and a couple of penny's... First thing i spotted was a broken Chinese coin. I continued to grid the area and then hit on a sweet tone, a Mexican 1961 cinco centavo coin. After that I got another hi tone, 2" and 15 min of digging in the hard compact soil and dug up a weird object, almost looks like an 8 piece coin (i wish!), but its too heavy. It has the words waver written backwards. I think its made out of lead. Finally i hit an iffy signal and on top i find a broken brooch with 19 tiny little diamonds.

White Elephant Saloon tokens are known from many Texas towns, including Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Denison, Mobeetie, Panhandle, Fredricksburg, El Paso, and Lampasas. Other states also had their share of saloons under the sign of the white elephant: Butte, Montana, Bingham Canyon, Utah, Eagle City, Idaho, and Albuquerque, New Mexico to name a few.

I agree, finding tokens is pretty neat. Aside from a couple Chucky Cheese I've found just a couple and not that old. But still fun to find.

Here's a better picture. I stopped trying to clean it I didn't want damage it any further. I still don't know how old it is. Found it in an empty lot next to an old church.
