Hi, im new to the hobby and became an addict over night. Started with the Discovery 2 from radio shack and recently upgraded to the Delta 4000 from teknetics. Still trying to learn the machine. I've detected in old dumps from the 20-50's and have found some great stuff, from and old pocket watch to WWII eagle buttons not to mention tons of old bottles. I've tried to post them here but for some reason my ipad is not compatible. Parks here in El Paso have not yield anything good but clad coins. The oldest coin was found in the dump ( 1920 merc dime). Will try to post some pic's. Any comments or tips for the Delta 4000 would be greatly appreciated also best places to hunt in my area.

Hunt down in the original El Paso del Norte area, Hueco Tanks if you can get there, any areas that are open heading into New Mexico on the old roads and then head over to Club Panama across the border for some R&R. If it's still there and if you run into Irma Lopez(should be about 65 now) tell her I said hi...
