Back at the silver farm this morning, things were normal. I found a nice shady spot in the same yard that yielded yesterday's Barber quarter and started to find wheats; eventually I found a 29, 31 and six commons. My first silver was this 45P war nickel, followed by this 46 Rosey; I'm closing in on a roll of Roseys that I can trade for better coins. After a brief lull, I got a nice 89 signal and out came this silver necklace; fortunately, I didn't cut through it! Finally, I got a nice half dollar signal and thought maybe quarter. I was happy to see the 17 Walker about six inches down, sharing the hole with a wheat. The soil I was in is moist after a nice rain the other day, making digging easy. Even maple roots aren't too annoying. I'm off to Denver for two days and plan to be back mining silver on Friday :).

Yes you can! Just keep asking! "No" doesn't mean the next person won't say "Yes."

Man, what a great place you have there, halfdime!! That silver farm of yours has been producing for you for quite some time now. It never seems to be drying up. Have you kept track of your totals from that place so far? (silver/wheats/jewelry).

I'm going to be on the lookout for a silver farm of my own.

Congrats,

I've been there steady for two months, and will be there until Spring next year at least. I could go back and do the totals; they're all documented somewhere! Some easy totals so far: 3 Walkers, 3 Barbers, 1 Indian head penny. This place just fell into my lap.

i think that necklace is rosary beads there should be a cross on the end maybe its still there?

There is no cross, but there is a small section of chain that should have something. I found a cross yesterday about 30 feet from where I found this, but it isn't silver. I would think a silver item like this would also have a silver cross. I'm not Catholic, so I'm not well acquainted with these things.

Nice finds, half!

Always enjoy hearing about your finds from here.

I agree. The beads that we can see are in a 10-space-1-space pattern. There should be five groups of 10 with a single between them.

Super find.

Thanks for sharing.

Great Silver finds, Rosary and coins. Still nice without the Crucifix

Inspiring collection of silver finds today!

Nice work!

What a place! Never ending silver mines are hard to find. Congrats on not breaking the chain, maybe you will find the rest when you get back. Way to go!

That is one great spot you have there. We should all be so good or lucky to find such a long term producer or great keepers.
