Egyptian decoration at late 1800's site?

This piece is made of aluminum and it's been pressed. My only thoughts are maybe it went on a ladies cosmetics item or something of that nature. The oddest find so far at a late 1800's farm house in Surry, Va. I'm assuming someone here might be able to get to the bottom of this.

If you put several of them together you might have a bracelet.

Or maybe a belt?

Unusual Vintage Hammered Aluminum Belt With Egyptian Design, Must See

This is a very unusual vintage belt. It is made out of aluminum and the end piece with chain and leaf design look like the hammered aluminum of the late 1940's into the 1950's.

Each rectangle piece has the same design on it of an Egyptian figure with pearl center and writing below on the side. The belt measures 15" across when at the smallest and you can add on another 4 1/2" to this by moving the clip farther along the chain until it is up against the leaf.

Two of the raised pearl designs have some blue discoloration on them. I have not tried to clean this off because I do not want to ruin the belt with something too harsh.

The belt is light weight because it is aluminum so would be comfortable to wear.

Nice farm house find man! I can't tell you what it is, but I like it! Some time when hunting season is over I'd like to get back up there and do a hunt again. There's gotta be plenty more where that came from! Congrats on the cool find! :)

Egyptian themed merchandise got very popular after Carter found King Tut's tomb in 1922. Might be from the 20's,30's. Just a guess.

It is a belt link! :icon_thumleft:

Here's a picture of the same type. I don't know any details about it. It was simply described as ...

"Vintage ~ Silver ~ Egyptian Style Belt"

The one in question might be silver as well. :dontknow:

"Vintage" typically means pre-1950
