Egyptian Coin . . . Or Fake?

My employer is a semi-retired coin dealer, so I get to see some really nice things come through his furniture store.

He deals strictly with American coins, however, on occasion folks still try to pass "foreign" coins like the fake "Trade Dollar" (brass) he recently showed me.

Today, someone tried to sell him this coin (could not get anything but a scanner pic of each side while he was speaking with them about some other coins they brought in):

The "coin" is approximately 3/4" in diameter (sorry, again I was unable to include a ruler or other American coin when I was sneaking the scans) and quite thick . . . I would venture 3/16" at the forehead of the figure on the obverse.

The fast talking individual kept trying to tell us that the figure on the obverse was "The Queen Of Sheeba" which is what set off the alarm bells in my head.

To my eye, it looks like there had been some "gold plating" which has since worn off in most places.

Does anyone know the origins of this coin? It appears to be copper, and I really do not know if it is legit, I just have my doubts.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks daroofa!!!! WOW!!! ONLY 33 minutes after I posted this coin and I get an extremely helpful reply with pics!

I told my boss that the folks here know their stuff, and told him he'd have an answer in a couple of days . . . Thanks again.
