Cool find. How come you never show me these things in person? I won't steal them. I may "borrow" them for a long time. :laughing7:

Come on over some rainy weekend and we'll dig out all my stuff and look at it! I've been collecting rocks for 30+ years, got to be something good to see.

Tell ya what, next time the water gets low, I'll take to where I found it. Some other nice items were found there too. Might surprise you where I found this.

No they were not retarted. What does that have to do with my effigy? The picture may not be clear enough to see that the object has two raised eyes, a raised nose and a chin.

I defently can see a face in it but what was it used for. I see nice wear patterens on the high points nice find keep up the good work happy huntin

Moah

That was a pretty low life thing to say. Can't figure out why that cat seemed to pick GA out of the crowd. GA is as nice as any one I have met on here. By the way, that piece does look like an effigy to me.

NC,
Thanks for your kind words. This is an older post. I think maybe one of the first that I posted when I came here to TN. Perhaps, I'll take some better pictures and re-post them here. If you see the item in person like kinchafoonee has, It's a really a cool find.

Nice find for ya. I can see the face. I am still looking for a effigy.

I hope you will, sir. There's some great old postings getting reprised here. We, new guys, appreciate getting to see them...
