Don't drive with the solar glasses on....the roosters are going to start crowing....nocturnal animals will start coming out......it will be pitch black and the stars will come out.....don't look at the sun directly....power grid will go down...ect ect.

What a bunch of hooyey that the media is spouting. JUST like Y2K!

It was a neat thing to see, but can you imagine someone driving with the solar glasses on? Come on people it's pitch black with the glasses on - who would be stupid enough to put those glasses on while driving?
Will telling someone not to do it really work?

Why not loot in the night, 12 hours vs 2 minutes of darkness. :laughing7:.

I live in NH, and the lighting barely changed, it looked like it was a little bit cloudy on a mostly sunny day.
 

I think we had cloud cover back in '79 , but the one in 1970 was pretty good , My teacher showed us all how to make the pin hole box thing - worked good . I was 10 , then .
 

First time my girlfriend was so excited for two minutes of totality, any other time two minutes brings a frown.
