I had a sale of a glass item and was just going to double box it and ship which weighs close to 3 pounds and would cost $7 and change, but because the buyer is only 2 states away I can use the regional box B top loading box and ship up to 20 pounds for $6.16 and the box is free from USPS. $1 does not seem like much, but 10-15 transactions a month like that and you could save $30 bucks or so. I am curious how you pro pickers ship the glass items safely and cost effectively. HH

Here is how I ship say a mug that is say 3 1/2" tall and 3" wide. I make a box that is 7 1/2" x 7" x 7". I wrap the mug in bubble wrap, filliing inside th emug with it too; then sleeve the mug in a cardboard tube about 71/2" long. I center the tube in the box, with the handle pointing to a corner, then pack the box with newspaper. When packed this way, you can throw the box across the room and not worry about breaking the mug. Ships at 2 lbs. and I ship priority. To a zone 8 destination, it is only $.17 more for priority then for parcel select.

For smaller fragile item, I do use regional A boxes sometimes if it allows for the proper padding.
