Are you adding or listing your items with a BIN price? Just wondering. I don't usually use the BIN/best offer feature when listing in the auction format, but figured i'd go ahead and add a BIN price to my listings for this week because of Cyber Monday. We'll see if it does any good. I should have about 20-30 new items listed after tonight. Thoughts?

I used to do a lot of auctions with a BIN but I have been switching over to more of a straight BIN. If they are small, which most of my items are, then I have been figuring in the postage. With my top rated plus status, along with fast and free designation, I seem to get more noticed and they sell faster. Least in my experience of late.

I am BIN OBO a bunch of stuff yesterday and today to figure out what price to set.

I just listed 20 pieces of 14k for about 3xs spot or best offer. Well see!

Im going to list a bunch of $20-$50 items at BIN and see how it goes.

I think there will be so little difference you'd never really know... and even if there was a difference, ebay can just go like that sometimes. With that said, I had a lot of items listed as auctions sell over the weekend as I typically do, and the results were decent. I don't think the big buzz of black Friday or anything like that had much to do with it, it was simply a lot of my regular customers happen to show up to bid against each other. So I'd say the holiday helped, but not necessarily because it as a big shopping weekend. That's just my take, and I've had many equally good sales just about anytime of year, so who really knows. I guess I'll say I'm fairly certain it didn't hurt me, and leave it at that.

PS: I actually bought 4 things for myself, so I guess it did have an effect, just the other way around!

I was actually talking about listings in auction format with the added BIN feature on it. Usually when I list in auction format I don't add a BIN price. This time I did add a BIN, just in case somebody "has to have it" right then and there while shopping on, "Cyber Monday" the biggest online shopping day of the year supposedly.

Yeah but I'm sure the vast majority is for new items for Christmas. Then again I'm sure many collectibles are given so I guess it could give a little boost. This reminds me that I'll soon be getting a few messages... will it get here on time for Christmas, or how much to get it here in time! The last seller I bought from did the smart thing, estimated delivery to be as late as the 27th.

I ended up selling 4 items yesterday with the optional BIN. 3 perfumes and a pair of jeans, all new, except one perfume was used.

I had 6 or so one day auctions yesterday and sold an 1877 8 reales and my last gorham sterling handled knife. The other 4 went unsold. But it was worth it for me.

I had eight sales. One of them was a softball bat for $160. I was happy about that. I was using it to hit golf balls in my pond. Then I thought I put online see if it would sell. it was a good brand.
