I bought a M 14 rifle stock from an estate sale and tried to list it last night. Within and hour it got pulled. I checked and there are other M 14 stocks for sale so why did they pull mine? Anyway I thought about listing it again as an M1 (civilian version with virtually no difference to the military version) Does anyone have experience playing ebay's game with gun parts? I don't want to call ebay and ask if I can list it as an M1, would end telling the guy oh no it is not an m 14 stock, but almost exactly the same.

Their policy states something about assault weapons and such and I don't know every states laws on what they consider an assault weapon or not.

It may be a political thing. There is no such thing as an assault rifle, unless you are talking about a machine gun. Which the average Joe can't buy.

I don't know about listing it on Ebay. Try Guns America. I think I got one from there once.

I had the same problem, my ad gets pulled and the others stayed up , Same exact item ----------- After several calls to E BAY and going around and around on the phone , One rep said The other ads meet our standards Mine didn't ------------- SO I did my ad again worded it the exact same way as the others and it still got pulled SO HERE IS MY THEORY ---------------- For an ad to get pulled most of the time someone FLAGS it ---- Seemed to me that the other guy who was offering the same item WAS FLAGGING MINE to limit his competion SO best thing is watch the other ads , when they sell theirs Than place your ad , usually you will get a higher price since other bidders know what the last one sold for and will go the extra few bucks OR you can always flag theirs a few hours before their auction closes ---- REVENGE is a meal Best served Cold

Citiboy is a god! Love the angle and I agree 110%! wait, list, take the fallout boys for quick BIN, almost genius!

I agree with citiboy. It is most likely other sellers flagging your listing.

I had some restoration wire used for Lionel trains, and someone kept flagging my listings. It is unbelievable that someone would waste hours of their life trying to keep someone else from listing rolls of wire for $10.

Well I reported another seller's listing last night and I wake up and it is still there.... I am going to copy a completed listing word for word and see where that gets me. I will wait a week though before I do it.

Curious why would you report someone else's listings just because yours was pulled ?

I would sell it on gunsamerica.com or gunbroker.com, I have legally bought off of both of them, that's where I go whenever I want to look for a gun related items....

American by birth, Patriot by choice.

I would rather die standing on my two feet defending our Constitution than live a lifetime on my knees......

I reported their listing because I have every intention of copying it word for word. If I report their listing and it doesn't get pulled, and then mine does later, it will narrow down the reasons why mine did. I am not spiteful or anything I just need a control group for my testing.

Hey, 2ndisbest! Have you thought of listing it on some of the firearms forums? I have bought several guns and parts from them. I have .17 Mach 2 'black rifle' with a scope and bipod that I bought from a guy in Georgia that was advertised on one of the gun forums. And an a .22 revolver from Pennsylvania, a Henry lever-action .22 rifle from North Carolina, and a double barreled 20 gauge shotgun from Oregon. It's a great way to buy and sell guns and parts.

I had never heard of gunbroker.com so I went there. Of course I click on Everything Else category and discovery a bowling ball mortar for sale. Spent the next twenty minutes watching youtube videos of a bowling ball mortar.

I might have to, I still have a couple vintage Crosman pellet guns I am trying to move local.

Update

I copied the other listing that went through and mine made it all the way through. Sold the parts for $150.

Update again.

Package is paid and in the mail for 2 days and I get a message from ebay stating they are pulling my auction....

Does this mean if the guy has a problem with his package I don't have to return his money?
