I sold my lalique perfume bottle today for 400$ not realizing when I listed it, the global shipping was on. I received an email from the buyer stating that as she was buying the item she noticed it said $185.00 shipping and customs fee. I attempted to adjust the invoice and realized that i couldn't even send an invoice. The transaction was out my hands. I emailed the buyer stating I had to cancel the order and relist in order to avoid the HUGE fee. Unbelievable shady things happening on Ebay..

Maybe it is a coincidence, but ever since I left the GSP a few weeks ago, I a have seen more overseas people bidding on my stuff. So far none have won anything, but have noticed a definite uptick. Also a lot more stuff to Canada.

I recently had an angry buyer because of the high costs of the GSP.
He even filed a case with Paypal to try to get a refund, after I shipped the item.
Fortunately for me, Paypal doesn't consider import fees, etc. as a reason to cancel a payment.
That was my last go-round with GSP.

My buyer just repurchased the item from me, not using the gsp. Im glad they noticed before they paid. That's terrible

I refuse to ship out of US. Don't need the hassle...

sent from a potato...
