Ebay Counter Offer Question

Unless someone buys it before he goes thru with the deal...I have made deals with people and they never got back and it ended up selling for the BIN

The only thing that's locked is your ability to revise, or end the listing.

I listed an item for $26 BIN and best offer. I got an offer at $15 and I countered at $20. Am I locked out from the BIN at $26 until the buyer decides on my counter offer?

What you have to worry about is the buyer even acknowledging that he does not like your counter offer. Three times this month I have had offers, I countered a little higher and the jerks did not even have the decency to say no thanks. They just completely ignored my counter.

But on the other hand I am selling something for $17.50 with a make offer button and the last three sales (I have many available) were for full price. I would have accepted $15

Thank you for the feedback. I was concerned that because of the counteroffer the BIN would not be accepted.

It's not uncommon at all to not hear back from someone on a counter offer because that's typical ebay etiquette. Not sure why you think they should thank you, and am only telling you this so it's not a surprise because it's always going to be that way.

My BIN prices are what I hope to get for an item, and then if I accept best offers, I have checked the least amount I will accept. I do not have buyers decline very often, usually the offer just expires.

I have sent counter offers before, sometimes they'll accept, sometimes they won't, depends on how bad they want the item. I have never heard back from anyone unless they accept my counteroffer, I wouldn't expect to. If someone sends me a lowball offer on something, I usually don't even answer, so it works both ways.

I just accepted an OBO for the 27 marks for $14. I am happy, but should have taken the $15 10 days ago. I still have the East German notes for sale. Hopefully they will sell this weekend.
