I'm trying to find this out before I list a bunch of stuff. All my listings are BIN with best offer.

For you guys that do shows or sell other than Ebay. Can you list a bunch of stuff, then say for example set up at a flea market or show over the weekend and sell some of the items you have listed, then cancel your listing on Ebay. Does this count against you in any way?

I tried to find the answer in the rules and I couldn't find it. Also for anyone that knows, Does a store make a difference on this too?

I'm just starting out again and before I get too far I want to try to have some of these things covered or understood. This would be a great option for them to have too. If I know I'm doing a show on Sun. to be able to put a hold on some of the items that day in case something would sell at the show. Then lift the hold when you get home.

Or you guys that may have actual stores and have things listed too, then the item sells, and the listing has to be cancelled. That would be a better example maybe?

Anyone run into this? Or have experience with this?

I sell at flea markets too. I always end a listing when it sells at flea market. Never had an issue with eBay docking me.

Thank you! I was trying to find an answer on Ebay and couldn't find it. I really didn't want to call them to ask.:laughing7:

I don't think ending an item counts against you. However, under eBay's new policy there are 2 ways for a seller to get a defect. One of those is cancelling a sale for ANY reason. You would need to cancel your listing immediately after it sold at a show or flea market. If someone buys the item on eBay between the time it sells & when you cancel the listing you get a defect. Under the new policy it doesn't take too many defects to lose your TRS status, have your allowed numbers of listings reduced, and/or get suspended. Not something I'd be willing to risk. I think you could work around that if you had an eBay store by putting it in vacation mode on the days you are selling elsewhere.

I run eBay on my iPhone 6s and all sold items at flea market are ended immediately right from my phone.

That works. The chance that someone hits the buy button while you are making change is small enough to be statistically insignificant.

That's where it would be nice to have a hold option on BIN. I understand it couldn't be done on auctions. Just click a group, hit "Hold" for the weekend, then turn them back on. This may never even be an issue, but I use to do a lot of shows, and was wondering about it when I was listing. I may never make it to that level again to have to worry about it. But I like to have options or things kind of thought out as I go, dumb little things help me to stay organized.:laughing7:
