easy question about v3-v3i

If I buy a spectra v3 who the owner claims was upgraded to a v3i, will it be the exact same as a true v3i except the sicker on the side?

I assume so, but wanted to double check.

Mine was one of the very first produced. It has the Vision decal on the side. I had it updated to the V3i software. They are the exact same (except the decal).

 

[Metal Detecting Stuff]

The sticker and software should reflect v3i. You can take the serial number off the screen and also call Whites Service. They will verify if it had the upgrade.
