Hi,
I'm excited about the collective expertise on this site. I have always kept my eyes toward the ground as I walk in nature and it looks like I found the community that shares my love of the treasures at our feet.

for starters:
I would love input on this point found beachcombing on St. George Island, FL about 10 years ago. I have always been interested in the design and the age of it.

Welcome aboard Joe. You have found the right place. I am not familiar with the area where the point was found but it appears to be an edgefield scraper at around 8000 to 10,500 years old I would post it in North American artifacts. The beveled edge on opposite sides is the trait of that type I think. In short a killer old find.

Welcome...

from Central Florida!
