Out in farm fields on Kent Island for 7 hours today. Found just two coins, but after 5 hours of detecting this quarter came in at a depth of nine inches, my best signal of the day!

The best came last, nice job! :occasion14:

I'm not a big coin collector but have thought about starting a collection of 1861 coins that mark the beginning of the Civil War. 1861 was a large production year for US coinage so for an old date they are fairly reasonable. So, you have the start of an 1861 type set and you're ahead of me. Gary

Yep those are hard to find and thats a beauty. Well done

Very Nice!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

She's a beauty!! I was down Kent Island last year

I love the Seated Liberty series, and that coin does not disappoint. Congrats!

Great find. I would swing a detector for 5 hours if I knew a coin like that was at the end of the Rainbow !

A first year of the Civil War Seated Quarter - how cool is that ! :icon_thumright:

Oooh man, that’s a beautiful quarter!
