east Tx hunting

I lived in longview a few yrs as a teenager......Always wanted to come back and pay a visit ! Went through there once on a trip to arizona .........really changed !
 

I just moved from Gilmer north of longview but now i n Ocala Florida.. my mom and dad are still in Gilmer... big sandy lake/park is a good hunting area got a lot of gold out of there... i have not hit that area for a long time now...

Well you are in a good area to be hunting,lots of old towns around you.
O am in that area quite often visiting my in-laws in Crockett and I have a few good areas to hunt there.
I'll be there this weekend. My fatherinlaw MCs events in the area and will be MCing the Mo Bandy concert in Lovelady Friday night.
But I hope to get some hunting in on Saturday if time permits.
Maybe one of the weekends I'm over that way we can get a hunt together.

I used a stingray at the time the best finds was gladewater lake swimming area off gay street.
yes that is the name of the street you can take to get to the beach at gladewater lake.
