Found object on my ranch in East Texas. Appears to be 10 inches in diameter with no markings and random hole with non-connected wires wrapped around hole as shown. Can anyone assist 'cause I have no clue where to begin!

Thats used for seismic testing for oil. There was most likely a bore hole under where you found it where they dropped the charge down in to it. The wire was the trigger wire. Have found these before and took awhile to figure it out.

I have seen those posted here before I was skeptical of the seismic testing cap Idea but that is at least the third one Ive seen with blasting wire on it.
