HuntNdig, Hole is round,no threads.

hmmm, well it doesn't necessarily have to have threads, it could have been seated kind of like modern faucet handles where the screw runs through the center and into the line.(i know modern faucets are grooved as well) but It definitely looks like some type of handle or knob, but to what...

Jeez, you got some odd finds,
maybe a helm wheel from a toy boat :laughing7:
other item looks like a globe, why no latitude lines :icon_scratch:
US Marines Eagle, Globe & Anchor devices lost their longitude lines in 1936...
Nice Washington  , and the fork ? nice piece !
A silver hunt is a great Hunt

Very interesting finds Chris! :icon_thumright:
Congrats on the '59 Washington! :notworthy:

The globe is really a nice find!
HH,
Dave

HuntNdig,What puzzles me are the holes in the 4 small posts, it's old and heavily patinad.

yeah that was throwing me off too. Do the holes in the small posts go all the way through? It could have had some kind of hoses running to them where 4 different or 4 of the same type of liquid came together for a bigger purpose. Probably thinking a little to hard about it now lol

H N d, they are blind holes,it's hard to see in a pic, but,it is rather crudely made
