Found this button just a few hours ago. This button certainly caught my attention. Only cleaned with water and tooth brush. Found about 10ft from where I pulled out a 1805 Draped Bust one cent couple of weeks ago. I have found no exact matches to this button on all the online early naval button sites. Some close, but most do not use 5 point stars. Any feedback would be great. My guess is post 1812. Thanks for looking.

OK, that should work better. The simple plain back of the Button makes it harder to identify. Most have maker names or other marks. This one has nothing.
