I headed back to thrift store where I got the Sterling stuffing spoon on Tuesday and they had a few more pieces. The first was a scalloped bowl spoon from Clark &Co of Augusta Ga. it probably dated to the 1820s. Note the Hallmark and to the left of the small C which designates “Coin”. I then spied these two engraved repouse spoons with gilt bowls. Very unusual large 1837 London Sterling hallmarks. I am on a roll that I don’t want to end.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1545406617.372631.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1545406626.733713.jpg

Woweeee!!! Awesome finds!

Good eye! Thanks for posting with the info. The first silver I ever picked up from a T/S was a coin silver spoon, it got me curious and hooked on silver. I didn't know that they could just be marked with a "C." Something else to look out for.

Damn good eye. I wouldn't have caught the "c", I would have thought it was a ding.

Wow! You are on a roll!! Great southern piece of coin silver and English silver. Someone is donating some great stuff in your area.

I'd keep checking that store. Could be someone's collection of silver is sifting through there. One time in one of my local places a bunch of old military helmets started showing up and every other day more were added, until they were all gone. I only bought one as it looked like a early WWI German helmet, but it turned out to be a WWII Irish helmet. Then one day a bunch of alloy 80% French mostly stuffing spoons showed up and I bought them all for way below spot. I think at times someone passes on and their relatives take their treasured collections and just donate them to a TS only to be discovered by a treasure hunter who cases the TS'rs.

Jim... what was price ?

Are you finding these in with the "silverware" / "cooking" item areas or ?

In the silver plate area.

Jim has a nice little store there. He gave us the address and I went today with my family. Bought 4 pairs of Christian Dior clip earrings, a brooch and a pair of 14k earrings. He didn’t leave me any sterling though!

This store, they said everyone is volunteers. And all the money goes to help the kids in the city I believe. Its rare you hear of that.
