🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Early Silver Brooch-No Markings

I found this15mmX26mm unmarked silver brooch today. Not too long ago I found two very rare Native American pewter pipes on the site. Also found were 6 coins from 1781 to 1810. Maybe someone here could shed some light on this?

The little 'teeth' make me think that it might be a buckle of some kind, rather than a brooch.

Nice! Yeah those pewter pipes were a great find! Early pewter contained a good bit of lead I believe. I've wondered if the smokers got brain damage.

It looks like a colonial knee buckle.
